One of my prized clicks during the Managalajodi trip - The Ruddy Breasted Crake. This species is considered to be one of the rarer ones unlike the godwits etc which visit in huge numbers.

Nice image with habitat.Full of concentration.Well composed. From the photo,it looks like a Brown Crake (Porzana akool) as I am unable to find any barring. If you have seen or documented barring on underparts starting from rear flanks ,then your ID is correct. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

Supreet

Lovey eye contact. The catchlight adds to the already beautiful eye. The colors have come out well.

Saktipada sir- Here's another angle where the barrings are more prominent than the previous image. :001_smile:

The red eye attracts attention. The walking pose looks nice. There seems to be some loss of details. Thanks for sharing.

Great that you could click this one. They are fast and move into the vegetation. The eye contact is nice. Were you handholding? Or did you use a monopod? You need to be careful while shooting from a boat.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi
