Tender moments | Spotted deer

The sight of a spotted deer fawn suckling from his mother was sure a nice start to the year.
Nothing great about the image itself, but sharing this because of the worthiness of the moment :)

f8, ISO 250, 1/80sec, EV +0.7, 130mm, evaluative metering. How much I wish I had stuck to ISO 400

Nice image.Good caption.Life's most precious bond is being developed. The mother would have been happy if the fawn had stopped in presence of others ,as we find it with village woman when a guest comes home.Mother Nature has created all mothers same. Above everything,she is the mother, she cannot deny her baby to quench its thirst.Nice to think.Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

Nice moment captured. Its quite difficult to get this. I liked the way the mother is licking the fawn. Agree a higher ISO would have been good to get more shutter speed. Thanks for sharing.

Tender moment. Good that you got it. How much of crop and from which side?

Why only ISO 250? A higher ISO would have resulted in a higher shutter speed and better sharpness. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. This is hardly a 5% crop from the left. I could have easily managed a full frame image at 100mm with the composition I like, only if our stupid naturalist from a private resort whose name I didn't bother to know did not shout at us from behind that we were supposed to stop the jeep (which we would anyway have done after finding a suitable angle for an image!). The loud talk scard the fawn away and this sighting lasted only for a few seconds within which I did my best to get a record image.

As to the ISO, like I mentioned in the post, I really would have preferred to stay put at a higher ISO. However, only a few minutes before this sighting, I was shooting a lone wild dog in excellent lighting, and at the same settings as this image, with shutter speeds of 1/320sec, and forgot to boost the ISO after that :(

Lovely image. an amazing moment captured. What i feel interesting is that though the mother is busy with the calf, her ears are upright and the light through the ear gives the feeling of attentiveness!!!
