Small blue Kingfisher

Captured near Ayodhya nagar lake, Bhopal. I was tried to shot in natural condition but failed to get a good shot .However I got it in temporary wire frame drawn by local farmer to run the pump for wheat farming.The angle was little higher.

Canon 40D, 400mm f/5.6,

Av mode ,ISO 200, f/6.3, 1/1250sec , 50% cropped, Handhold.

Its quite difficult to get birds on natural perches these days :(. A slight more head turn towards you would have enhanced the eye contact further. Wish it was closer. Thanks for sharing.

Hmm..if the birds don't mind the perches, why should we? :D Nice colors. Wish you had used a narrower aperture.
