The eye contact is nice. The reflection looks good. Agree the black border is distracting. Is this full frame? Thanks for sharing.

Nice pattern in the feathered body. The stillness of the water around the bird looks pleasant, gives a feeling of calmness. There is something sticking out from the upper part of the beak near the nostril, hope its not a string or something similar.
