Nice head turn and eye contact. The yellow flowers and the clean background add to the composition. I think the focus is locked on the flower on the left of the bird. Please check the AF point. Thanks for sharing.

Nice head turn. I agree with Mrudul about the AF point. It happens when the subject is small in the frame and the AF point locks on to the nearest object with higher contrast. The flowers looks good. A vertical composition would have looked better if you were closer. Thanks for sharing.
