I was on an overnight trip to Jaipur. managed to squeeze in an hour of birding and though initially it was foggy and chilly to the bone, once the sun came up, birds became quite active.
My first shot of an Ashy Prinia

Though a squarish frame, I like the composition. The exposure seems spot on! I may have preferred to use a narrower aperture for better details as the shutter speed is quite high. However, I am not sure if you would have still got a smooth BG in that case.

Lovely perch and eye contact. The soft light looks nice. I think to include the vertical twig the square composition helps, but I too have preferred a rectangular framing. the background compliments the bird. A slight more light on the eye would have enhanced the image further. Thanks for sharing.

Nice image. The background is well diffused. The angled twig at the bottom of the frame in the background is slightly distracting. This bird moves fast, so it is better to have a higher shutter speed. However, if one is able to anticipate its movements, then a slower shutter speed can also suffice. Thanks for sharing.
