This was taken in Bhitarkanika.

The idea was to show the elements of a typical night around the Forest Rest House there. However for photography purposes some elements had to be lit up to bring them to notice. Some ambient light from behind did however throw my shadow into the frame :(

If you note closely there are spotted deer in the background.

Canon EOS 7d, 18-55mm (Tripod Mounted)
SS 42" (Remote Trigger)
f/4
ISO 2500

This is processed on the new laptop. However I feel it need calibration still. Comments and Critiques welcome.

PS: Foreground Trees painted with a Maglite Torch.

Nice feel of a night in the jungle. The starry sky looks nice. Thanks for sharing.

Nice depiction of a night in the forest. The sky is what draws most of my attention. The deer make a welcome addition. Wish the shadows could have been avoided. Not sure if there was any need to paint the trees...

Not sure if throwing light on the trees is a good idea here, unless there is some unique form of the tree that can hold our attention. The night sky looks good. I had to strain my eyes to get the deer. I would love some more experimentation from you in this area.
