Nice behaviourial photograph. The dry grass gives a perfect picture of its enviornment. More eye contact and a bit more close up would have enhanced the image further.

Rahul, yes the b/w image does look good, I think you can reduce the contrast a bit.

The black and white works in this case. The tigress was far off even for the focal length (800mm) that I was using. I think when you are focal length challenged, a 1.6 crop camera like EOS 50D helps.

This image was created at the starting of the stretching. So you can notice that the eye is open. In the subsequent images, the eye is closed.
