Tough pose. Due to sidelighting it is not easy to get details on the shadow side. A higher shutter speed would have been good.

Agree with the above comments. It would have been good if you were on the right. For birds in flight you need quite a high shutter speed around 1/1000 to get good details. You could have increased the ISO to 400. Thanks for sharing.
