Dear All,
A Black Shouldered kite from the Black Buck sanctuary, Taal Chaper, Rajasthan.

Took this photograph when the hovering raptor took a break from its intense scan for a possible prey to share eye contact with me.

Good to see this raptor hovering and facing you. The tail feathers appear like a fan. Handheld?

Indeed, Handheld but then the 300 f2.8 II is incredibly light, only felt a little heavier than my 300f4.
