This is one from my archives and by far the best wildlife moments I ever had of witnessing the entire sequence of 14 wild dogs chasing a spotted deer and finally hunting down in a water body.

Thanks for reposting this natural history moment. One can't get tired watching the old images again. Surely a rare moment.

Amazing document for Natural History.I am looking at the eyes of of the predator and the prey. After cornering Jim Corbett, I imagine, the Chowgarh Tigress looked at and smiled at him ,may be,in the same way moments before the bullet struck her. Here the Cheetal is the prey (and not Corbett), its eyes are sending the message -'this time or no time for survival'.
In a forest there is no malice nor remorse.
Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild
