I did not know of this behavior untill I saw it. The booted eagle had come and perched itself on the tree. Very soon 1, then 2, then more and more crows started coming and flying, swirling around it in an obvious attempt to harass it. The eagle is a threat to their young and hence this behaviour. Eagles have been known to retaliate and kill crows harassing them.

I am very happy that you were using a 300mm lens. Too often we miss out document this because of long lenses. This image nicely shows off crows encircling the eagle. Some more space at the top would have helped in getting the complete crow. Crows are often aggressive and harass birds of prey. Thanks for sharing.
