This pied kingfisher did its usual hovering act, plunged like and arrow and came up with its lunch. It then sat on a boulder and worked the fish around to swallow it in several small little 'tosses'. This is one of those moments. It subsequently dived again but was unsuccessful. My earlier post was the same kingfisher emerging after its 2nd dive.
Shot in Corbett recently with the Nikon D 90, 70-300 VR lens; at ISO 200; 300mm; 1/800s - F/9; -0.7EV
