Correct image:
This pied kingfisher did its usual hovering act, plunged like and arrow and came up with its lunch. It then sat on a boulder and worked the fish around to swallow it in several small little 'tosses'. This is one of those moments. It subsequently dived again but was unsuccessful. My earlier post was the same kingfisher emerging after its 2nd dive.
Shot in Corbett recently with the Nikon D 90, 70-300 VR lens; at ISO 200; 300mm; 1/800s - F/9; -0.7EV

Good action. Nice to see a kingfisher with a fish in its beak. The shape of the boulders look nice. A longer lens would have helped in getting details better. Thanks for sharing.

Good composition. The rocks are so well recorded too.

Nice moment captured. If this is a crop, a bit more space on the top would be good. Wish the light was from behind you. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, this is a crop...there was reflection of the shrubbery on the banks of the river....which was noisy and I cropped it out. I wish I had the light behind me as well!
