Here is another image from Yana, Karnataka. This is the main entrance to the caves in the Bhairaveshwar Shikhara limestone monolith.

Canon 500D, 18-55mm IS @18mm
SS 1/2
Av 8.0
EC -1
ISO 1600 (accidental)
Full frame image
GorillaPod support
No alterations or editing. Exported straight from the RAW.
One of my friends who was using my camera just before I shot this had set it to ISO 1600 without my knowledge :o. I didn't do any NR since I don't find the noise too bothersome here.

During this trip, we arrived at the caves quite late in the morning (as a result of some leisurely jungle trekking :)) and the light was too harsh for all but a few shots. Hope to visit the place again, and at the right time, to try some more angles and compositions.

Thanks, C&C awaited.

I liked the different shades. Good details and the textures has come out well. I agree the noise is not much visible here. Thinking some more space at the bottom to include the way to go inside would been nice. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mrudul. The pathway is a plain flat one, hence chose to exclude it since it wouldn't enhance the image.

I like the texture in this image. The noise is hidden in the details. So not an issue here. The light appears to be low. Else, some more depth of field would have been even better. Look forward to more images from this place.

Cheers,

Nice abhishek, ISO 1600 is certainly noisy with 500D but isn't evident here.
