Have seen close to 100 good and not so good images from TATR this year and was intrigued to visit my most favorite of tiger reserves yet again to see the growing cubs. This shot is from the 14 months litter of the Pandharpauni region learning the art of stalking and hunting from their mother. This one however was a failed attempt and the heart pounding sambhar (in the bg) is only thanking his fate that he could make it to another day. This is the colored version of the bnw image that I posted on Fb today.Planning another trip during peak summer. Happy weekend.

Must have been a thrilling sighting. Good that you were able to show some habitat. The cubs are still too young to bring down a Sambhar stag.

The habitat included looks nice. The sambhar in the background adds to the composition. Its good you got the tiger facing you. Some more details in the tiger would have been good. Is this a crop? Great to witness this natural history moment. Thanks for sharing.

Is the patch of forest burnt? Lowering the contrast would be better. You can knock off some part from the bottom to strengthen the composition. How much crop?

Yes there were several parts of the forest that were burnt. This was almost 25-30% of a crop.
