This is an Indian Cormorant-Phalacrocorax fuscicollis.

Rajeev, This looks like little cormorant (Phalacrocorax niger) to me. I guess it would be around 50cm long.
Nice perch and head turn. Like the feel of the image.
the image is center composed. you can tweak the composition a bit with the help of thirds rule. this would add more energy to the image.
Also you could have gone for the vertical composition to get the full reflection of the bird as the water looks still.

As I understand distinguishing features between Indian and Little cormorant wud be
Indian: Bluish Green eyes, Yellow at the lower base of the bill (not as prominent nor covering the entire gular pouch as in Greater cormorant), slightly longer thinner bill
Little : Black eyes, white at the base of bill ( no yellow), A flat forehead and Short and thicker bill .

Phalacrocorax niger I think Niger means black an earlier image by murugan fits into description of lesser cormorant
