This was part of the 'bird wave' mixed hunting party at Sitavani, Ramnagar forest reserve. This shot shows the camouflage of the bird's colours, almost blending with the tree branch.

Nice to see this species. Maybe a slight more head turn towards you would have enhanced the eye contact further. Some more details in the bird would have been good. Is this a crop? Thanks for sharing.
