Did a quick trip to pune this weekend and got the opportunity to visit one of the better known places around Pune for some bird photography. Clicked this full frame Paradise Flycatcher (juv male) while waiting for the Monarch Flycatcher.

Exif:
Canon 7d, 300 f4, 1.4xtc
1/1000, 7.1, +1/3, 1600

Thanks

Lovely perch and nice eye contact. The catch light looks nice. Why ISO 1600? I think a lower ISO would have worked as you had good shutter speed and also there is some noise in the background. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely Image Supreet. The background compliments the rufous colours of the bird. Very nicely done. I agree with Mrudul about a lower ISO. I believe you were shooting in the undergrowth, hence the high ISO. How many shots were you able to fire off of this bird?

Thanks for sharing.

Lovely shot of the asian paradise flycatcher. He's still growing and in a few weeks he'll have his trademark long white tail. His crown also is well documented. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with the previous comments. The eye contact is nice. Lower ISO would have been better. How much of a crop is this? Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,
