Stork Billed Kingfisher, Not so common here like white breasted. Shoot at the backyard of my house.
Nikon D3000, 70-300 @300mm, ISO 200, F8, 1/200, Cropped to make this panoramic composition. Waiting for comments.

Nice profile image. The clean background looks good. I feel a rectangular framing would have worked well in this case. Thanks for sharing.

You can post a larger image upto 1024 pixels on the longest side for us to appreciate it better.

I agree that without the tail, it looks incomplete. With animals, one can frame the image with the limb joints. With birds cutting off part of the body and getting a pleasing image is difficult. Our eye always looks for the continuity and hence looks for the complete tail/feathers.

The bacground is nicely diffused. Thanks for sharing.

@ Sabyasachi sir and Saktipada sir, actually the bird was perched on an electrical wire so I cut out the wire, though I have another with full tail. I can also post it here for your critique. Thanks.
