Nice composition, what is the metering mode & exposure compansation.. Is this a crop?

It was a pleasure being with Shaktipada dada. I will post in detail in the Sundarban report.

Mrudul mostly uses aperture priority and this one has +2/3 EC. It is important how each mode works and use it accordingly.

During this scene I was filming in manual mode, with my long lens set on tripod, but quickly gave up as the launch was turning and moving fast. I will post my version with details later when I am able to convert.

This was a tough scene to click. The sunlight was reflecting from the tail and the head is black. For some birds who have a black eye and black head, it is important to get the exposure correct so that we can distinguish the head properly. In this case we can see the black eye clearly.

Prasad, this is a small crop from the left to remove a distracting stick. As Sabyasachi has mentioned I have used +2/3 EC as the light was bad and it is evaluative metering.
