Nice sighting. The eye contact is nice. Good display of habitat. Wish it was closer and the light was better. Thanks for sharing.

I have not visited this place. Lets us know what all you saw and status of this place. Looks like it was far off as there is some pixellation and loss of details. Light was also low.

Dear Sir,
Panchmarhi is a highest point of MP (it is also a hill station)situated in Satpura ranege of forest , and it is known as satpura tiger reserve forest ,it has two entrance one is from Panchmarhi and other is from madai which is other side of the tawa dam .As per forest deptt there are 46 tigers and 36 leopard spotted in this forest ,however spotting of tigers and leopards are difficult due to vast range of forest and it is purely depends on your luck (untouched area rather I can say un approachable area due to difficult terrain ). Wild dogs , sambers, spotted deers, bisons etc can be easily found and I have come across. Spotted deers and spotted doves are mostly visible near forest rest house (As close as 10 feet ). As I said madai ( Hardly 45 Km from Hoshangabad ) is located other end of the tawa dam , there is boat / steamer facility to go inside and you can easily spot variety of bird e.g. Stone plover, river lawping ,Rudy shell duck, Black Ibis, White Ibis, Open bill Stork, Wooly neck Stork etc can be easily spotted .

Thanks for the detailed information. I had never heard of this place till date and gives me a reason to relax that there are still a few places wherein commercialism has not invaded. Although a cause of concern would be the common tourists at Panchmarhi, would not be surprised to hear stories of insensitive tourists visiting the jungle from Panchmarhi gate and spoiling the sanctity of the place.
