I saw a huge flock of tricolored munias devouring a field early on sunday morning by the village. Munias have been notorious for finishing off paddy fields, I actually got to see them go about it. I couldnt go closer as they would fly off, hence only got record shots. Its about time I got a bigger lens. I should have increased the ISO to get a better shutter speed but goofed up again :(

Nikon D3100, f/5.6,SS 1/125,ISO 140, 300mm.

I seem to be having a problem uploading files greater than 200kb.:001_unsure:

Nice record Murugan. with birds i think you will never be happy with the lens reach and a better alternative is to wait for them to come closer, use hides , understand behaviour patterns, locate favourite perchs and wait... i think one will also see, hear and learn more while doing this. Also it is important to have a wider perspective in every sense isn't it??? :001_smile:

Great to sight such tiny birds in a flock. Educative image.

Good to see you post. I always find Munias very inquisitive and it's fun to observe them.
