Made this image on a very hot afternoon at Satpura, while awaiting the arrival of a leopard near a water hole. Unfortunately, with a few vehicles at the scene and the animals not accustomed to this, the leopard when arrived, decicded to sprint back into the woods.

canon EOS 7D, canon 300 f/2.8 L IS II USM, Satpura tiger reserve.
f/2.8, 1/200sec, ISO 400, EV +0.7, 10% crop, evaluative metering.

Lovely portrait of the CS eagle. The BG looks neat. The eye contact and perch is well documented. Hope you got shots of the leopard as well. Thanks for sharing.

Very good image. Wishfully thinking, a catch lite would have been a bonus.

I sight birds I have not seen before in Sanjeevaiah Park and also sight them repeatedly on the same tree. Hawk Cuckoo has not called while I am there.

Was there any tiger sighting? How are the facilities for safaris/guides/stay?

Nice image. Some more details would have been great. Why only f2.8?
