View Full Version : Asian Koel (male)/Juvenile Coakul????

1/200;f 5.6; ISO 320; 100-400@400. TV Mode. I got only one shot. The noise is due to a 40% crop.

Is this an Asian Koel (Male) or a Juvenile Coakul. I think it is the latter due to streaks of brown feathers which I think the Koel does not sport.

I think it is a Asian Koel (male). The red eye looks nice. Wish it was closer. Thanks for sharing.

I had a fleeting moment to realise the bird's presence and shoot. He was gone. Had I heard the call, I would have known him as a Koel (male) or otherwise.
