Nice to see an adult Marsh Crocodile.I am not sure why the crocodile is lying in the open .Was there any rain on the previous day or in the early morning .Or else, is it moving towards grass cover or shade of trees as the upper layers of water in Talao is hot.Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

April should be hot in ranthambhore. Normally during this time the smaller lakes dry up and the crocodiles move from one waterhole to another, ofcourse mostly in the night/early morning.

Dr. Kailash Sankhala has mentioned that these crocodiles were introduced into the lakes of Ranthambhore. They were not there before.
