The hovering pose is nice. Good eye contact. To capture this you need a very high shutter speed so using a higher ISO would have helped. Reducing the sharpening would be good as there is lot of noise in the background. Thanks for sharing.

You got the focus right. As Mrudul says, a very high shutter speed, close to 1/1250 or 1/1600 sec will help freezing the motion. There is lots of noise visible, perhaps because of excessive sharpening.
