Lovely composition. The perch and the eye contact are nice. Nice clean background. Did you try placing it a bit lower in the frame, I think that would enhance the composition further. The subject was at a lower angle when suddenly shifted. I do not know whether this meets with "rule of thirds".

Did you try placing it a bit lower in the frame, I think that would enhance the composition further.

Anandji,
It seems the Indian Rollers now recognise you, given the amount of time you have photographed them.
I was wondering why there is so much of noise in the first image.
The rule of thirds is basically a guide to help in composition. One can break it if the resulting image looks better.
