Birds take off suddenly, it's very difficult to capture this type of rare action. A lot of patience, planning, technique, is required for this photograph.

Nice pose and timing. If this is a Northern Shoveller male the colours of the plumage are no where near natural.

The take off pose is nice. The water splash adds to the composition. Reducing the saturation and contrast would be good. What was the white balance used? Please post the EXIF and equipment details to help in commenting. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for comments.
It is Northern Shoveller. Colors what we see and what have come here are slightly different, but not unnatural. This happens when angle of incidence of light and reflectance angle of iridescence material changes. I have noticed this phenomena in other pictures also.
Picture was shot in Haryana.

Im guessing this to be more of a PP glitch, posting the exif would clarify most of the point as opposed to the science of light that you just explained :)
