Grey Heron

Purple heron at flight - Diksal, Bhigwan (Ujani Dam Backwaters)
Canon 550D 70-300, 1/400sec, Av Priority,f 5.6, ISO 125, focal length -300mm.
The habitat at this back water is really good for birds due to wetland formed and there are no hills located nearby.The area is quite vast for birding. And the natural swamp and backwater formed it attracts more birds. Hunting of birds here is strictly not allowed still i got to know some fisherman hunt birds here. The birds here i felt are not very comfortable with human presence. Due to immense fishing activity carried over here, the birds donot let humans come close.Still enjoyed the habitat a lot.

Nice flight pose. The upward wing stroke looks nice. Good eye contact. While capturing birds in flight is always better to use a higher ISO like 400 to get more details. Do check the AF point, I think it is on the wings. A narrower aperture would have helped to get more DOF. Seems there is a slight tilt, you can correct that. Thanks for sharing.
