This was at Kabini during February on an evening jeep safari. There were very few cat sightings that week and this was a welcome change . . . .

She was quite a distance away and a 500mm + 1.4 TC was not enough for a closer shot.

40D, 150-500, 1.4 TC, f6.3, 1/1000, ISO 800

Nice environment composition. The lighting was difficult with the foreground lighted and the tigress in shade. The trees on the right frame the image nicely. Thanks for sharing.

Nice sighting. Wish you had the tigress in the light. Always nice to sight it in kabini. Thanks for sharing.

Nice habitat shot Rajanji. The water body at the back enhances this image. Sigma 150-500 at 500mm is at 6.3 if I am not wrong, then with a 1.4x dont the images get a bit noisy at times?? Thanks for sharing.

Oh yes Murugan Saab, the 40D at around 800 ISO is bearable and anything above can get very noisy . . .
