Nice eye contact. Is this a crop? There seem to be some loss of details. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, but a very minor crop to remove an OOF on the right . . (not more than 5%)

Tough scene as you were shooting through the vegetation. Some bamboo shoot marks appear to be on the body? The exif details say that it was clicked at 500mm at f6.3. Did you use your sigma lens?

Possible, it was the Sigma, for i normally go by a small record book (which may have been wrong records) rather than the EXIF properties which you right click on the image . . . .

It was the Sigma and the 400D dad, remeber you were cursing yourself for having left the 100-400 & 40D with mom, who was on the other side of the Yelagiri lake ?
