Dear All,
Apologies for the inordinate hiatus.

Just returned from a short Trip to Tadoba, Maharashtra.Thankyou Bhargava Srivari for the Pre Trip Tips and Tricks..!!

This was our (me and Anu) first trip to Tadoba and we enjoyed ourselves a lot. Anu was in great form with his 1D mark IV + 300 2.8 Mark II combo, but since it takes a lot to make him post, I am commencing with a Tiger image I made in the Teliya region of the Park.

This is the Telia lake Tigeress, Growling in annoyance with the elephants disturbing it and her 4 cubs from the cool waterbody she was lounging in.

She was above my eye level as she came down a hillock and crossed the road in front us ,barely fitted into my 7D +300 F4 combination.

EOS 7D + 300f4 IS L @ f8, 1/500 ISO 400.

Look forward to Comments
Cheers

Dipankar,

Feels good to know that you had enjoyed yourselves at TATR. It was my pleasure to be of any small help I could be :)

Nice to see the Teliya female. For the first three months of the year, when the cubs were still very young, this female would bring the cubs out into the open at either Teliya lake or on the Kosba line, just after all the safari vehicles passed through Teliya and take them back before the vehicles came back on that route. All we would see were the entire family's pug marks on the jeep tracks. It took a while before we understood the cleverness of this tigress; a remarkable mother she is. Even after a few of them understood her behavior, the action happening at Pandherpouni on a daily basis made sure that not many people were willing to wait it out at Teliya for the entire duration of the safari to catch a glimpse of this family. However, with the Waghdoh male (father of the cubs) starting to spend a lot of time with the family, things changed drastically and the teliya cubs have also started to grab their share of limelight from the cubs at Pandherpouni :) The 4 cubs at teliya make for a very cute sight and when they decide to spend time with the tourists, there can be nothing more to ask for!

Cheers

Beautiful image of the tigress. Her teeth look good and she seems in no mood to entertain anyone. She looks so neat and clean. Humans have a lot to learn from animals. Thanks for sharing.
