Shot in Kanha, this one was fast asleep the whole while we were shooting it.
Shot with the Nikon D90, Nikkor 70-300mm, ISO 250, I/250s - F/7.1

The first image images looks nice with the close up. I think some more details in the owl would be good, please check the AF point, was it locked on the bark? Thanks for sharing.

Nice one. These owls keep on dozing for a long time. Good that you used f7.1 aperture. A slightly longer lens to zoom in further and avoid the skyline would have helped in strengthening the image. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. Mrudul, the AF point was on the owl itself as I remember, but you may be right, it may have locked on to the bark. This is a 50% crop, subject was far away so yes a longer lens would have surely done the trick

Nice image of the dreaming owl :) Its a good thing that you managed to spot it. If you were on a jeep it would have been relatively difficult to spot as it has camouflaged itself well with the tree. Agree with Mrudul's comments. Thanks for sharing.
