Attended a two day Photography course by Mr.Saravanakumar last weekend and one of the topics was working with high shutter speeds.

Caught this Magpie Robin about to perch at 1/1600 shutter speed, with the Sigma 150-500 at 6.3 F and ISO 800 on a 40D

Please review and advice

Nice moment freezed. Good details. A slight more space on the right would have strengthened the composition further. Is this full frame? Thanks for sharing.

Nice moment captured Vaishnavi. Just a moment earlier would have enhanced the composition further with its wings widespread. Agree with Mrudul's comments. Nice to know that at an young age you are getting the opportunity to learn photography. Thanks for sharing.

High shutter speed is fine. However, only high shutter speed will take us nowhere. The most important part is anticipation and then clicking at the right moment.

Ideally more space at the right would be better. The space at the left is negative space.
