I was lucky to spot this lovely lizard while in Borivli nat park. really like the pattern formed on its body. Experts can identify the species.

Nikon D3100,F/8,SS 1/125,ISO 400,ec -.7,270mm,full frame.

Nice head turn and eye contact. I think a vertical composition would have been nice in this case. Did you try one? Good details. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with Mrudul. A vertical in this case, due to its long tail and the pose, would have looked nice. A lower angle avoiding the bright patch on top would have strengthened the image. Thanks for sharing.

This is a common calotes (Calotes calotes). These make very interesting subjects with the poses they strike:). Agree that a vertical would have worked better here.
