I normally love clicking and filming predator and prey. However, this was the first attempt to do so in the macro world. The fellow was moving much faster than my macro lens could capture.

Nice one sir. A scene which we would have seen so many times yet it dynamics wouldn’t quite register unless we take an interest, spend time and have the patience to look closely. A macro lens certainly helps…..and the playing fields gets much larger and its wonders simply unbelievable....I guess the traffic in this section is going to go up....:)

It certainly is difficult to capture ants in action. I once tried by manually focusing to 1:1 and then moving the camera alongside (parallel to) the ant's path, using live view to allow more room for camera movement. Got decent results using this technique, but one needs a very high DoF as it is practically almost impossible to the the focus point absolutely correct...
