Tiger!
Shot this at Ranthambhore under tough conditions of light and thick vegetation, this is a full frame with a minor crop on the right to take off a thick twig that was causing some distraction.
Camera Model Canon EOS 40D, 100-400mm
Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/60
Av( Aperture Value ) 8
ISO 400
Focal length 400mm
Full Frame & Hand held

Nice image. The grass in front doesn't distract much. The shutter speed was low hence the decrease in sharpness. Thanks for sharing.

Nice eye contact. The grass gives a nice feel of the habitat. The composition is nice. Agree a higher shutter speed would have been good. Thanks for sharing.

I like the composition with enough space in the direction it is looking. The focus is right. I agree that a higher shutter speed would have helped. A mirror lockup will also help, provided nobody is moving in the vehicle.

Thank you all for the comments...
Sabyasachi - can you provide the threat that helps us learn more on mirror lock up. I am not even sure if this feature exists in canon 40D

Praveen,
The Mirror lock up thread is here:

That feature is present in 40D. I have used it. Since I don't have the 40D with me know, I can't tell you where exactly it is. You have to check the menu.
