Tiger : B&W
Dear All,
Big male from zone 4 RNP, in the evening safari. For a change it was the Forest department jeeps which were more excited than the tourists. Apparently this is T-6 and has been spotted after more than a year.
There was a dust haze in this backlit scenario hue to the motions of the Gypsy. I tried to PP it but it looked the best in B&W. Fortunately a complete tiger !! so no curse of the prime here. There was a little tilt, correcting which resulted in a little space lost all around.
I think, the image could do with a little brightness, not sure though.
EOS 50D+ 300f4 IS L @ f8, 1/500, ISO 640.
Look forward to comments.

Good to see a big male. Increasing the brightness a bit would be good. I don't mind burning out the rim light around the head/fur. You may try pulling up the shadows a bit more. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely image for a B/W version. Nicely done. Just wish the tyre in the abckground were not visible :(
Thanks for sharing.

The low angle looks nice. Lovely eye contact and stride captured. With so many gypsy's around, it becomes impossible to photograph a tiger in the open without any gypsy :( . Look forward to more from Ranthambore.
