Pitta
Colours of nature are awe inspiring and amongst the common birds of India the pitta is one such. This one is a regular visitor to our backyard and has with time started coming quite close if you sit still. Mostly it comes early or after sun down and I generally don’t bother it and myself by taking pics.. Its much better to watch it go about foraging. This being an exception where light was decent but still low to do real justice to the fantastic colours on this bird.

Really a very colourful bird. I still don't have a decent image of this bird :(. Nice catch light on the eye. Liked the dry leaves around, give a nice feel of the habitat. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

Good to know that this bird comes close. Infact, if we don't fiddle too much trying to pick up our cameras etc, then the animals and birds will feel relaxed and there are more chances that they will come close.
It would have been great if the light would have been better for a narrow aperture. Lok forward to many more species coming close to your lens. Thanks for sharing.
