fluttering jewels..

the Common Picture Wing..a dragonfly that flutters and from far appears like a butterfly....close up..it is most beautiful looking, as if the wings are decorated with jewels..!!..:)..
Spotted in Carambolim, Goa.
Canon 600D with Canon EF 55-250mm
1/320, f6.3, focal length 250 mm and cropped.

Nice colours. The yellow and black wings look nice. Good composition and details. As it is a crop just a bit more space around would be good. Thanks for sharing.

As far as possible, ensuring the camera sensor to be parallel to the wings of the dragonfly will result in the depth of field covering the entire body. The reason being the plane of focus will pass through the wings (provided you focus on the wings).
