Lovely crisp image. Their typical monotonous calls, with notes rising to a crescendo before ending abruptly was hated by Englishmen suffering from meningitis, scarlet fever, malaria as they could not tolerate the calls of common hawk cuckoo. Thus they named the bird as brain fever.

In the winter nights when others sleep, its call 'Pieu Kanha, pieu kanha' mesmarises me from my childhood till today. One more life is awake and active. It is always tough to get the perfect angle in safari situations. I would have loved a slightly wider composition and a bit more to the left so that the full head would have been framed by the curved branch. Thanks for sharing.
