Peeping tom
Id: Mantis nymph
Accidentally stumbled upon this beauty on one of the garden plants, and with it's almost curious look at the camera, the essence of peeping tom came to my mind. These ant mimicking mantis are pretty good at staying away from others notice due to its mimicry of ants. Generally pretty shy creatures, these tend to run off whenever it feels threatened or agitated, but also sometimes they seem to try and analyse the situation, probably something that took place at this moment

Nice curious pose. It stands out nicely against the plain green background. Good capture. Thanks for sharing.

Nice pose. I am not sure if critical focus is on the mantis. I somehow feel a bit more depth of field would have been better. Or may be trying to focus a bit behind so that the foreground would have been more out of focus. Nevertheless, the concept works ie. we do feel that the fellow is peeping. Thanks for sharing.
