Indian striped hyena
Camera trapping Indian striped hyenas is moderately difficult, primarily due to their nocturnal, solitary, and elusive behavior, but it is very achievable with proper planning.
They frequently visit carcasses, garbage dumps, or livestock kill sites—ideal places to place camera traps. They often use animal trails, dry riverbeds, or dirt roads at night—great locations for trap placement.
