Elephant hiding in vegetation

This elephant was hiding there across a river in Mudumalai.I couldnt use the tripod so the sharpness is compromised.

Canon 400D,55-250IS,1/15,ISO400,5.6 hand held

I too have seen such behaviour from elephants, when they wait in the dense vegetation for the vehical to pass before they come out. Wish you had better eye contact. The light was really bad. Next time you can wait quietly for it to come out so you can get some good photographs. Thanks for sharing.

The shutter speed was quiet low. Wish you had sighted in better light.

I agree about the low shutter speed. Wish the eye were more clearly visible.
