Lynx Spider with a Meal | backlight with flash

Photographed this spider, back lit by the sun, using flash at low output. I liked the look of the image, though the lighting seems a little unnatural... Let me know what you think.

Lynx Spider (family Oxyopidae) with prey (probably some bug?). Lynx spiders are commonly found on garden shrubs as well as in forests. Identified by the spiny legs and eyes arranged in a hexagonal pattern on the head. They are pretty bold, and often jump onto the camera. :D

Increased the brightness a little.
Slight crop from the bottom and right to enhance composition.

The details are nice. I liked the diagonal composition. The background gives a spooky feel to the image :). Wish the out of focus object in the background was not present. Agree a lower ISO would have sufficed. Thanks for sharing the information. Look forward to more.

I think your flash was at the left side so that part is illuminated and hence gives an uneven feel to the image. May be you need to work with reflectors. Thanks for sharing.

Sabyasachi: You are right, the flash came from the left. In addition to uneven lighting, it has also created shadows to the right. :( Will try reflectors, thanks.
