Panther in monotones
Image made in bandipur tiger reserve, in october 2011.
Due to a couple of vehicles arriving on the spot in good speed, there was a lot of dust that got lit up by late evening light. Hence, the conversion to black and white.
canon EOS 60D, canon 100-400 L IS USM
f6.3, ISO 800, 1/160sec, EV 0, 210mm, evaluative metering.

Nice image.Alert pose with piercing eyes.
I am looking at its two forelegs and the muscular built testifying to 'pound by pound it is the strongest predator of Indian Jungles.'Second, how nice this photograph could have been with Kodak/Ilford 200 ASA B&W film. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

Many times speeding vehicles raise so much of dust that the image quality becomes a casualty. I agree that shooting in black and white would have been good. Who better than M. Krishnan. M Y Ghorpade has also shot some great black and white images.
