return of the native...
this is from February of this year...
Spotted this Common Stonechat, at another wetland area here at Carambolim..the Dhado Wetlands is so much bigger than the Carambolim Lake..and is a swamp like area...full of waterways, mangroves and all the desirable ecosystems needed for thriving wildlife...mudpaths cut through this swamp and villagers use this area for traditional occupations without disturbing the natives..:)....more to follow in Natural History..
The Common Stonechat never fails to return here during the early months of the year and is one of my favorites.. because of the vibrant color palette...:)..

Nice colours. Colours look natural, but there may be some loss of details in plumage.
Your native appears to me as Common Stonechat : Race: Saxicola maurus przewalski - Male assuming breeding plumage. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

thanks for viewing and the inputs, Saktipada.

Nice perch and good eye contact. The vertical composition looks good. Agree with Saktipadaji, there seems to be some loss of details. Is this a crop? Thanks for sharing.

There is no crop.

Good to know about this wetland. There are many wetlands that are ruined and "reclaimed" by people. It seems you are using the digital zoom. There are some sharpening artifacts visible.
