Lens buying is a personal decision which should be based on your specific needs and aspirations ie. the type of shooting you are doing or want to do.
If you want to shoot birds, mammals, tripod vs handheld, lowlight situations does impact your decision. A full frame body vs APS-C sized sensor body also makes a difference. So only after knowing the details we can suggest.

thank you sabyasachi sir,i have gone through that thread,its of immense help.just to let you know i want it more for mammals,to use with aps-c sized sensor!and its use in macro will come as a bonus!
