Forest ranger hacked sept.15

A forest ranger was killed and seven injured in an attack by the villagers of Nallsvelli and K.K Thanda on Saturday mid night.The villagers were cultivating reserved forest land.Thirty eight year old R.Gangaiah together with a 11 member forest team drove to the village after receiving information of the illegal cultivation of forest land A heated argument ensued and Gangaiah tried to call the police.The angry villagers attacked the team with chilli powder.axes sticks and knives.Gangaiah was felled by blows from an axe. The others escaped leaving his body behind.The police reached the spot 3 hours later.Some arrests have been made.
