Striped Mongoose
I saw this fellow in Bandipur National Park. He was foraging in the elephant dung and soon was chased away by a lapwing. You can find that image in the Natural History section by clicking the following link

I wish the out of focus green vegetation was not there in the foreground.
Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L is USM, EF 1.4x TC ie. at 560mm, ISO 100, f4, 1/320
Look forward to your comments.

Good one. Agree about the FG vegetation.
Striped necked mongoose according to S.H.Prater : One of the largest asiatic mongooses, known to take prey as large as mouse deer and hares.

Nice sharp photograph. Would have liked a bit more space on the right and top instead of the foreground.

Agree about compo, but why did you include so much of the FG?

Nice sharp image. He's looking at you, an added bonus!

Fantastick DOF and awesome image, only the right lower part (foreground) is distracting...
